Vinyl House is a unique home in Leytonstone that blends the owners' love for music and cooking, creating a space that serves both passions. A music room housing a vast collection of vinyl records is designed with sliding screens to allow for versatility in entertaining, either by opening the space for social gatherings or closing it for a more private listening experience. The design embraces natural materials like oak, terracotta, terrazzo, and cognac-coloured leather, with cork being used to enhance the acoustics. The aesthetic of the home is defined by circular and arched motifs, including an oculus skylight.
“We loved the idea of working with a young, fresh company who were really excited about our project. They worked with us to create a truly timeless, classic design and the change has been monumental. Music is now at the heart of the house. Instead of being stored away in a cupboard it’s ever-present and feeds into day-to-day life, which is exactly what we’d hoped for.”
