Milkwell House

Lowell were commissioned as architect and builder to remodel and extend a mid-terraced property in South London. The works included significant structural alterations, opening up the ground floor to create a large, multi-functional family space, incorporating a full width rear extension, plus the refurbishment of the first floor including 2 bathrooms. At the heart of the project was a timber frame construction using a high level of craftsmanship for both structural and internal woodwork. Natural materials and sustainability were also integral to the concept, bringing warmth and texture to both the building’s interior and exterior, through the use of white oiled oak joinery and external doors, and natural clay render.
