Fig Tree Retrofit

This project relies on ‘micro-moves’ and interior adjustments only to transform the usability of this modest 2 storey end-of-terrace classic home for its family of 4. A series of furniture-like pieces have been inserted to create a sleeping platform, new study and garden room and other enhancements that provide workspace, quiet space and an overall sense of joy and fun throughout the home. A fabric first whole-house retrofit has been carried out alongside this to reduce energy demand supply renewable heat and generate electricity on site. Early POE data suggests performance in line AECB and LETI retrofit targets.
