Danish Mews House
Neil Dusheiko Architects
The home is a conversion of a retail showroom in a Mews behind Hyde Park by Neil Dusheiko Architects. The space is filled with light and natural materials. The Danish clients’ passion for Danish art and design has been integrated into the home through a considered kitchen design and material choices. The design overcomes the challenges of a compact footprint, a single primary façade and overshadowing nearby buildings. A central open riser stair anchors the home, glazed above and on the sides –bringing in natural daylight. A sense of calm pervades the home despite its urban context.
