Curve House

When our clients moved into their home 18 years ago they dreamed of transforming the dark kitchen into a space that reflects their love of cooking, entertaining & mid-century design. This dream would take 2 decades to realise as the birth of their daughters (now 18 & 19) & more urgent repairs ate into their mental capacity & funds.

The result with a smaller footprint than they had 1st secured permission for (with another architect) features curved elements inspired by an arch over the front door & mid-century geometric prints, & European cherry accents which give a sustainable nod to the teak used in much mid-century furniture.  Curved elements were created from carefully set out standard straight building materials to ensure an economical and easy-to-build solution for a small contractor.
