5 Kirtkstall Road

5 Kirkstall Road is a 4 bedroom, two storey semi-detached house, situated in the Telford Park Conservation Area. The design approach was to create a high quality rear extension, which provides open plan living containing kitchen, relaxing space and separated cloak room, pantry and laundry room. The extension is set-in from the side of the property and built from structural glass supplied by Minima Sliding to reduce the visual impact, increase the daylight levels and respect the original building. The glass extension also creates a strong connection to the garden allowing for inside-out living. Upstairs, the hallway was opened-up to create a double height area flooding the hallway with natural light. In addition 2 luxurious bathrooms were added and 2 bedrooms remodelled incorporating an awkward 1.5 level space.
